Rafael Marquez, Captain Mexico, was quoted saying, “We have an encounter ahead which we have to enjoy, but we will play to the death to win it.”
Diego Maradona, coach Argentina, in an interview expressed his worries about the attacking talent of the Mexicans and said that it is impossible to know what team they will play. He said, “We’re going to give Mexico the respect they deserve because, in spite of losing against Uruguay, they know exactly what they’re doing. We will try to get them and look for their weaknesses.”
